Starion Bank Names Strebe President
March 23, 2017
Starion Bank has named Arnie Strebe president, with Craig Larson continuing in the roles of CEO and chairman of the board for the bank.
As CEO and chairman of the board, this change in organizational structure allows Larson to focus on developing the overall strategy and vision for Starion Bank while Strebe handles the day-to-day operations of the bank.
Strebe joined Starion in April 2015 as chief human resources officer, bringing more than 30 years of senior-level leadership success at global companies in multiple industries. Equally important to Larson was Strebe’s 20 years of experience in family-owned businesses.
“Starion is a family-owned bank and that brings unique circumstances to running a business,” said Larson. “Arnie’s proven leadership and family business expertise will allow him to effectively lead Starion as we continue to make an impact through community involvement, business development and the financial success of each customer.”
In this new role, Strebe will partner with and develop Starion’s high-performance leadership teams, focusing on all operational aspects of the bank and building relationships within the bank, with customers and all the communities Starion serves.
Strebe, a North Dakota native, earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education and is a graduate of the Senior Human Resources Program of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He also served in the United States Army and North Dakota Army National Guard, graduating with honors from numerous military schools. A five-time Iron Man finisher, Strebe has been instrumental in the creation of the annual youth triathlon in Bismarck.
