Good neighbors make great libraries!

The Friends of the Middleton Public Library are excited to announce the award of a $17,500 dollar-for-dollar Challenge Grant from the Madison Community Foundation towards the ‘Stuff the Bookmobile Campaign’. That means that your gift will go twice as far to reach the $50,000 campaign goal through the end of June!

The Library bookmobile will serve as a full-service and ADA-accessible library on wheels that aims to:

1. Increase library usage and civic engagement by meeting people where they are.
2. Promote and support literacy for all ages.
3. Grow collaborations and partnerships.

The library currently offers robust all-ages outreach services in parks, Middleton schools, assisted and senior living facilities, laundromats, special events, the WayForward Resources, businesses, and more! In 2023 the library visited 204 places outside of the facility with 11,097 people and over 30+ partners!

“A mobile library for all ages will support existing outreach services and allow the library to reach even more Middleton residents where they are” says, Kristen Mildenhall, Friends of the Library President.

Your contribution will go towards books and library materials for all ages to fill the bookmobile, as well as supplies to support community events and other programs that promote civic engagement.  The bookmobile is expected to roll out late 2024.

Supporters are encouraged to stop by the library at 7425 Hubbard Ave Middleton, WI and learn more.   Or visit [midlibrary.org/bookmobile]midlibrary.org/bookmobile and donate today!  The [midfriends.org]Friends of the Middleton Public Library are an independent 501c3 committed to expanding library access and supporting literacy initiatives.
