Navigating the Now: Community Resources in a Changing Economic Climate

Navigating the Now: Community Resources in a Changing Economic Climate
Presented By: Ellen Carlson, Executive Director at WayForward Resources, Julie Bennett, CEO & Executive Director at Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and Jeanne McLellan, Executive Director at NAMI Dane County.

Join us for a vital lunchtime workshop addressing the critical challenges facing our community and the non-profit organizations that serve it. The current economic climate is impacting everyone, and our most vulnerable neighbors are feeling the effects most acutely. This panel discussion will bring together representatives from key local non-profits – Wayforward Resources, St. Vincent de Paul, and NAMI Dane County – to explore the evolving needs in our community related to food insecurity, housing instability, access to clothing, and mental health support.

Why Attend?

  • Gain a deeper understanding: Learn firsthand about the specific ways the current economic landscape is affecting individuals and families in our community.
  • Discover available resources: Hear directly from local non-profits about the critical services they provide and how to access them.
  • Connect with community partners: Network with representatives from Wayforward Resources, St. Vincent de Paul, and NAMI Dane County, as well as fellow attendees who are passionate about supporting our community.
  • Explore solutions and get involved: Discuss potential solutions and learn how you can contribute to making a positive impact during these challenging times. Whether you're looking for assistance, want to volunteer, or are simply interested in staying informed, this workshop is essential for anyone who cares about the well-being of our community.
